BRIEF VIDEO WITHIN ARTICLE – Gun control has never been a viable option for preventing criminal acts. Frankly, people who claim it can, or would, are fools.

As I write this there are roughly 300,000,000 firearms in America; the overwhelming majority in the hands of law-abiding residents.

There are no solid numbers, but the best guess is that less than 1% of Americans actually carry a firearm each day. The percentage of criminals who carry firearms when they are about to commit a violent felony with a gun is 100%. That disparity is the problem.

Since every American knows that violent crimes occur, including murders. And every American knows that some mentally ill people from time-to-time commit violent acts, does it make sense to go about unarmed, and untrained, and then cry the blues about being a victim?

Here is a link to an edition of the Dave Champion Show in which I discuss virtually every issue surrounding the debate on gun control.

Dave was born in Southern California and was a wild teenager during the “sex, drugs, and rock & roll” days of the late 70’s.

But Dave embarked in an entirely different direction when he joined the U.S. Army and became an Airborne Ranger.

After leaving the Army, Dave returned to So Cal and engaged in a number of careers, including law enforcement, the corporate world, the hi-tech industry, business owner, legal consultant, and more.
